At the birthplace of the Bhagavad Gita in Kurukshetra, we run a free residential school, hostel, library, gaushala and skill training centres. Children of leprosy patients and children from families with nothing live, study and grow up here, at no cost to anyone.
गीता की जन्मस्थली कुरुक्षेत्र में हम निःशुल्क आवासीय विद्यालय, छात्रावास, पुस्तकालय, गौशाला एवं कौशल प्रशिक्षण केंद्र संचालित करते हैं। कुष्ठ रोगियों के बच्चे तथा असहाय परिवारों के बच्चे यहाँ रहते हैं, पढ़ते हैं और बड़े होते हैं, पूर्णतः निःशुल्क।
Rs 12,000 puts one child through a full year of school. Rs 3,100 feeds every child in the ashram one full meal.
₹12,000 में एक बच्चे की पूरे वर्ष की शिक्षा। ₹3,100 में आश्रम के सभी बच्चों का एक समय का पूर्ण भोजन।
An introduction
एक परिचय
Matribhumi Sewa Mission is a spiritually inspired voluntary service organisation. It was founded on 12 January 2003, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day, by the young ascetic Parivrajak Dr. Shriprakash Mishra, under the grace of Pujya Mahavatar Baba, at Kurukshetra where the Bhagavad Gita was spoken.
For more than two decades the mission has kept a single aim: the all round care of healthy children of leprosy patients, and of poor, helpless and needy children. Hostels, schooling, food, clothing and medical attention are given free of cost. Around 500 children have been brought up here and have gone on to become self reliant, self respecting citizens.
The mission has no fee structure and no paid canvassing. It runs on the labour of volunteers and the generosity of well wishers, and it works through unit offices in several states of the country.
The work of the mission has been observed and blessed by the President of the Republic of Mauritius, the Prime Minister of India, cabinet ministers, the Ambassador of Japan, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, the head of Pejawar Math in Udupi, Swami Vishwaprasanna Teerth Ji Maharaj of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj, former Chief Justice of India Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah, governors, high court judges, chief ministers, and Yoga Guru Dr. H.R. Nagendra.
मातृभूमि सेवा मिशन एक अध्यात्म प्रेरित स्वैच्छिक सेवा संगठन है, जो युवाओं की करुणा एवं समाज के दायित्व बोध से संचालित है। इसकी विधिवत स्थापना पूज्य महावतार बाबा की कृपा से युवा तरुण तपस्वी परिव्राजक डॉ. श्रीप्रकाश मिश्र द्वारा, स्वामी विवेकानन्द जयंती एवं राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के अवसर पर 12 जनवरी 2003 को श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता जन्मस्थली कुरुक्षेत्र में हुई।
बीते दो दशकों से मिशन का एक ही लक्ष्य रहा है: कुष्ठ रोगियों के स्वस्थ बच्चों तथा गरीब, असहाय एवं जरूरतमंद बच्चों का सर्वांगीण विकास। छात्रावास, शिक्षा, भोजन, वस्त्र एवं चिकित्सा की सभी सुविधाएँ निःशुल्क उपलब्ध कराई जाती हैं। अब तक लगभग 500 बच्चे यहाँ पले-बढ़े और आत्मनिर्भर एवं स्वाभिमानी नागरिक बने हैं।
मिशन में न कोई शुल्क है, न कोई वेतनभोगी चंदा-संग्रह। यह स्वयंसेवकों के श्रम और शुभचिंतकों की उदारता से चलता है, तथा देश के अनेक प्रांतों में अपनी इकाइयों के माध्यम से कार्यरत है।
मिशन के सेवा कार्यों का अवलोकन कर मॉरिशस गणराज्य के राष्ट्रपति, भारत के प्रधानमंत्री, केंद्रीय मंत्रीगण, जापान के राजदूत, आचार्य महामंडलेश्वर स्वामी अवधेशानंद गिरि जी महाराज, पेजावर मठ उडुपी के प्रमुख, श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र के ट्रस्टी स्वामी विश्वप्रसन्न तीर्थ जी महाराज, स्वामी कैलाशानंद गिरि जी महाराज, भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति एम. एन. वेंकटचलैया, अनेक राज्यपाल, उच्च न्यायालयों के न्यायाधीश, मुख्यमंत्री एवं योग गुरु डॉ. एच. आर. नागेन्द्र अपना आशीर्वाद प्रदान कर चुके हैं।

A residential school inside the ashram for needy and helpless children and for the healthy children of leprosy patients. Free education, and free accommodation at the Bal Abhimanyu Hostel run by the mission.
आश्रम परिसर में संचालित आवासीय विद्यालय, जो समाज के जरूरतमंद, असहाय एवं कुष्ठ रोगियों के स्वस्थ बच्चों के लिए है। निःशुल्क शिक्षा एवं बाल अभिमन्यु छात्रावास में निःशुल्क आवास।
A special vidyapeeth being built to bring ancient learning and modern education together, so that the coming generation is prepared to serve humanity as a whole.

A working collection of the Gita, the Upanishads, the Vedas and the biographies of the great men and women of ancient India, open to every student of the institute.
गीता, उपनिषद्, वेद सहित प्राचीन भारत के महापुरुषों की जीवनियों का संग्रह, जो संस्थान के प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी के लिए खुला है।
A small cow shed run to supply milk to the children of the hostel. It keeps the milk supply steady and gives the children a daily connection with cow service.
छात्रावास के बच्चों को दूध की आपूर्ति हेतु संचालित लघु गौशाला। इससे दूध की समुचित व्यवस्था बनी रहती है और बच्चों का गौ सेवा से नित्य संबंध जुड़ता है।
Performed every day in the ashram by the students and by visitors. At Jyotisar, the birthplace of the Gita, a chapter is offered daily by the mission's Vedic celibates.

Free computer training for children who cannot carry the heavy cost of technical education, so that they can stand on their own feet in work.
उन जरूरतमंद बच्चों के लिए निःशुल्क कम्प्यूटर प्रशिक्षण जो तकनीकी शिक्षा का भारी खर्च वहन नहीं कर सकते, जिससे वे आत्मनिर्भर नागरिक बन सकें।
Free sewing centres at Yamunanagar and Mandebar in Haryana and at Aurangabad, where women earn a living through their own work and take part in rural development.
यमुनानगर एवं मंडेबर (हरियाणा) तथा औरंगाबाद में निःशुल्क सिलाई केंद्र, जहाँ मातृशक्ति स्वरोजगार के माध्यम से आत्मनिर्भर बनती है और ग्रामीण विकास में सहभागी होती है।
Employment oriented training for rural youth affected by unemployment, from class twelve students upwards, so that their ability turns into work and self reliance.
बेरोजगारी से प्रभावित ग्रामीण युवाओं के लिए रोजगारपरक प्रशिक्षण, बारहवीं कक्षा से आगे के विद्यार्थियों तक, जिससे उनकी योग्यता रोजगार एवं स्वावलंबन में बदले।
Eighteen biennial programmes have been held on Gita Jayanti over the last twenty years, along with seminars across the country and abroad attended by scholars, ambassadors, vice chancellors and religious leaders.
विगत बीस वर्षों में गीता जयंती पर अठारह द्विवार्षिक कार्यक्रम, तथा देश-विदेश में संगोष्ठियाँ, जिनमें विद्वान, राजदूत, कुलपति एवं धर्माचार्य सम्मिलित होते हैं।
How it works

The path is the same for every child, and it costs the family nothing at any stage.
हर बच्चे के लिए यही मार्ग है, और किसी भी चरण पर परिवार से एक रुपया नहीं लिया जाता।
State and district units of the mission identify children of leprosy patients, orphaned children and children whose families cannot pay for school.
मिशन की प्रांतीय एवं जिला इकाइयाँ कुष्ठ रोगियों के बच्चों, अनाथ बच्चों तथा ऐसे बच्चों की पहचान करती हैं जिनके परिवार शिक्षा का व्यय नहीं उठा सकते।
A place at Matribhumi Shiksha Mandir and a bed at Bal Abhimanyu Hostel, with food, uniform, books and medical care, all provided by the mission.
मातृभूमि शिक्षा मंदिर में प्रवेश एवं बाल अभिमन्यु छात्रावास में आवास, भोजन, वस्त्र, पुस्तकें एवं चिकित्सा, सब मिशन द्वारा।
Regular schooling alongside daily Gita study, yoga, the library, the gaushala and computer training, so the child gains both character and a trade.
नियमित पढ़ाई के साथ दैनिक गीता अध्ययन, योग, पुस्तकालय, गौ सेवा एवं कम्प्यूटर प्रशिक्षण, जिससे बच्चे में संस्कार भी बनें और कौशल भी।
Students move on to higher education or to work as self reliant, self respecting citizens. Around 500 have already made that journey.
विद्यार्थी उच्च शिक्षा या रोजगार की ओर बढ़ते हैं और आत्मनिर्भर, स्वाभिमानी नागरिक बनते हैं। लगभग 500 बच्चे यह यात्रा पूरी कर चुके हैं।
Where your money goes. Contributions are received only by cheque, demand draft, net banking or UPI into the mission's own State Bank of India account. There are no paid collection agents. Once the office receives your deposit details, a receipt is posted to your address.
